ACLU supports death penalty moratorium

On April 1, the ACLU joined several organizations across Missouri in written and personal testimony on behalf of a bill in the Missouri House of Representatives which would place a moratorium on capital sentences in the state of Missouri.

If enacted, the bill would cease all executions for two years; disallow capital sentences during those years;and establish a commission to study capital punishment in Missouri.

If you are a Missouri resident, please contact your representative and encourage him or her to vote for this legislation this term.
