
Amicus Council
Members are attorneys who serve as ambassadors to the larger community in which they live and work, communicating the mission, values and focus of the ACLU of Kansas and Western Missouri with two levels of involvement.
Partners – $1,000 or more annual tax-deductible donation:
- Serve in an advisory capacity to the board and legal panel,
offering input, guidance and counsel on the ACLU's legal
program.
- Offer guidance on development of an ongoing CLE program;
all individual Amicus Council members in good
standing will be invited to earn CLE credits at no cost.
- Be invited to at least two briefings annually, during which
they will learn about and offer advise on the current focus
and status of the organization's legal programs. Presenters
may include members of the legal panel, national ACLU
figures or outside experts.
- Be listed, if desired, on Amicus Council letterhead as a
partner.
Associates – $250 to $999 annual tax-deductible donation
- Opportunity to join the ACLU's legal pane or to otherwise
help guide the legal program efforts.
- CLE credits at no cost now being developed.
- An invitation to at least one annual briefing
- The opportunity to help communicate the ACLU's mission
and efforts through speaking engagements, seminars and
programs.
