  • Racial Justice Taskforce brings together people for the common cause of confronting inequity with intention to repair the separation and conflict caused by social, economic and cultural racism in our region. If you would to join this committee, click here.
  • Immigrants Rights Project meets bi-monthly to discuss immigrants' rights efforts, plan educational events and promote civil liberties protections for the immigrant and refugee populations in Kansas and Western Missouri. IRP alos holds bi-monthly Know Your Rights community canvasses in the Kansas City metro area.   • LGBT Taskforce works exclusively on civil rights protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people in Kansas and Western Missouri. The taskforce meets regularly. For more information or if you would like to join this taskforce, click here.
  • Metropolitan Coalition for Responsible Sex Education (MCRSE) advocates for comprehensive, medically accurate, age-appropriate sex education for youth in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The ACLU is a founding member of this coalition of community organizations, faith community leaders, teachers and parents. If you would like to join this coalition, contact MCRSE.
  • Legal Panel is a group of volunteer attorneys who work with the ACLU Legal Director in considering legal questions and cases for ACLU constituents in our region. Currently, our Legal Panel is not in need of additional members. However, if you would are interested in assisting the ACLU as a volunteer attorney, please contact the ACLU.
  • aclu2 is an outreach committee dedicated to encouraging a new generation of ACLU activism among younger adults. To join this committee, contact aclu2.
