Please Welcome Gary Brunk, the ACLU of Kansas and Western Missouri's new Executive Director! Gary began his role as Executive Director at the ACLU on June 1. He brings extensive management, advocacy and development experience to the job, coming off a 14-year stint as Executive Director of Kansas Action for Children.

Holly Weatherford

Program Director

Holly Weatherford, Program Director, has been with the ACLU of Kansas & Western Missouri since December 2009. Prior to coming to the ALCU, Holly served as the Kansas Lobbyist and Public Affairs Manager for Planned Parenthood of Kansas & Mid-Missouri.

Doug Bonney

Chief Counsel & Legal Director

Stephen Douglas "Doug" Bonney, Chief Counsel and Legal Director received his law degree from the University of Kansas in 1985 and is licensed to practice law in the federal and state courts
in both Missouri and Kansas.

Mary Bata

Office Manager

Mary Bata, Office Manager joined the ACLU of Kansas and Western Missouri in June 2008.
An Iowa native, Mary has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Latin American Studies from Drake University...

Sarah Fox

Development Director

Sarah Fox, Development Associate recently graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa with a degree in English and Philosophy. Sarah is a Kansas City native who enjoys learning new things about her home town, especially new restaurants and coffee shops.
